I love places like Yahoo Answers because they allow people to ask serious questions behind a false name. They help expose the fact that there are a lot of people who are on the shit end of the stick in their relationships.
For example, most guys in the offline world will not openly admit that they are being used or abused by their girlfriend, but the following guy decided he needed to ask this question:
That may sound crazy to some people, but I’ve seen a lot of guys being used like this by their women and putting up with it. If that’s you, let me tell you one thing: You teach people how to treat you. Yes, that’s something that Dr. Phil always says – and he’s totally right.

When you let your girlfriend cheat on you (or fill in the blank with something else you don’t like), then you are telling her that it is ok to do that.
When you look the other way when your girlfriend is doing something mean or disrespectful, then you are telling her that she can do what she wants with no consequences.
Your actions speak louder than words.
When it comes to cheating, women cheat for a variety of reasons, but the truth is that if she is openly cheating on you, then she thinks on some level that you are ok with it, even if you have told her that you are not.
Again, actions speak louder than words.
For instance, in his question, he says, “I love her and would never break up with her…” which she already knows. I’m sure he’s told her that he doesn’t want her to cheat, but in the end, she thinks that she can do what she wants and he will still be there at the end of the day.
How To Get Her To Stop Cheating
So, how do you get your girlfriend to stop cheating? This article gives you some tips to stop the cheating based on why she is cheating. For instance, if she’s not being emotionally fulfilled, you need to spice up the relationship, communicate better, and avoid ruts.
BUT in my opinion, you need to make it clear that you won’t put up with it before you tackle the reasons behind the cheating.
- You leave her and show her that you stand by your word that you don’t want to date someone that is cheating
- You don’t look the other way or let things slide anymore. You call her out on inappropriate actions.
- If you separate, you wait for her to get help and change her cheating ways before you take her back.
And if you don’t want to take her back, or if she doesn’t change, you find someone else that appreciates you!
Let go of the need or hope that she will change, and face reality. She’s cheating, and if nothing changes in your relationship then she will probably keep cheating.
If you wait for her to change while you are in a relationship with her without taking action, the chances are very high she won’t change. There is really no potential devastating consequence for her (like losing you).
Just remember, if communication, effort on your part, anger, tears, and accusations are not enough to stop her from cheating, separation is.
It may not be what you want to do, but then again, you don’t want to be the guy who allows his girlfriend to mistreat him. That doesn’t feel good at the end of the day, and you don’t deserve it.
